New Water Supply Tax Credit Bonds Introduced by Representatives Becerra and Porter
Washington, DC (August 4, 2007) – US Representatives Xavier Becerra (D-CA) and Jon Porter (R-NV) introduced legislation in the House of Representatives to authorize the use of tax credit bonds in the financing of desalination, water recycling, and groundwater clean-up projects. Both Becerra and Porter are members of the House Ways and Means Committee which will have jurisdiction over the legislation.
Representatives Becerra and Porter are seeking the support of their colleagues as cosponsors for the legislation. The New Water Supply Coalition encourages you to write letters to your own local members of the House of Representative and ask them to become original cosponsors of the Clean Renewable Water Supply Bonds bill.
