Karen Bondy, is the manager of the Lower Colorado River Authority’s River Services department. Her responsibilities include managing water supplies for cities, farmers and industries along a 600-mile stretch of the Texas Colorado River between San Saba and the Gulf Coast. She also manages floods and implements ordinances that protect water quality in the Highland Lakes.
In her 9 years at the LCRA, Ms. Bondy has been the Chief Engineer for Water Services, as well as manager of Water Engineering, Construction and Operations. Prior to that she was a consulting engineer for Espey, Huston & Associates. She has over 20 years of experience in water resources engineering and is a member of AWWA and TWRA.
Ms. Bondy received her B.S. in Civil Engineering and her M.S. in Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. She has twin 5-year-old daughters, adopted from China. |
